CDL-A Truck Driving Jobs — Open Positions

Most CDL-A drivers earn $1,200–$1,900 a week, depending on the freight, the lanes and how much time you spend out. Pay is usually per mile (often $0.55–$0.80), per load, or a percentage of the load for owner operators. Flatbed and tanker work pays more because of the extra handling.

Plenty of carriers hire drivers straight out of CDL school and pair them with a trainer for the first few weeks. Most better-paying and specialised seats ask for 6–24 months behind the wheel. Check the requirements on each job page.

Local routes get you home every night, regional runs usually get you home for the weekend, and OTR means two to three weeks out with a reset at home. Home time is listed on each job where the employer has told us.

Hazmat, tanker and doubles/triples endorsements open up more work and usually add to your pay. Many carriers will pay for them once you're hired.
